First, the base layer of the wall must be cleaned up

Second, the base layer of the tiles must be fully moisturized



When using cement mortar to bond tiles, in addition to making the mud full of the tiles during the paving process, it is very important to ensure the wetness, including the wetness of the base layer. Before laying ceramic tiles, let the base surface be fully moisturized, especially the wall surface. Sprinkle water a certain time in advance to prevent the moisture of the cement mortar from being absorbed by the dry base layer and affect the bonding strength.



Third, the ground should be buried and then tiled



The floor of the bathroom space must first be leveled. You can level it with cement mortar and then pave the tiles. But the bathroom is different from other spaces. The bathroom needs to have a drainage design, that is, to find the slope according to the drainage direction, and the drainage position is low when laying tiles. This design avoids water accumulation in the space. On the one hand, it can be used after the bathroom is put into use. Keeping the bathroom space often dry, on the other hand, is also conducive to maintenance of tiles.



Fourth, the tiles should be fully soaked in water



Tiles soak in water, one reason is that tiles have a certain water absorption rate, especially wall tiles have a high water absorption rate. After soaking in water, it can prevent them from absorbing the sewage of cement slurry during paving; the other reason is foaming. Water can make the tiles have stronger adhesion. Therefore, it is recommended that you soak the tiles in water before paving the bathroom, and soak until the tiles no longer bubble.
